Incumbent Gov. Henry McMaster (R) is seeking his first full term. He took over in 2017 when former Gov. Nikki Haley became UN Ambassador.

7 Congressional Districts: 6 Republicans | 1 Democrat

Race to Watch: 1st
Mark Sanford was defeated in the Republican primary earlier this year, removing the incumbency advantage. The Democratic nominee Joe Cunningham outraised Republican Katie Arrington in the 3rd quarter. The combination puts the district as one to watch, but it is likely to stay in GOP hands.

All other incumbents - with the exception of the 4th district - are running and likely to win. In that district, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R) is retiring. However, nominee William Timmons is expected to hold the seat for the GOP.
