2024 Ohio House Election Interactive Map

All US House seats to be contested in 2024

Ohio lost a district after the 2020 Census. In the 2022 midterms, Republicans won 10 seats, Democrats 5. This was a better outcome for Democrats than originally expected, as the Republican-controlled legislature made multiple attempts to implement a gerrymandered map. The map ultimately used was also rejected by the courts, but left in place for the 2022 election.

Subsequently, that ruling was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. The case was dropped in September, 2023, as the challengers recognized they would have an uphill battle with the new Republican majority on the Ohio Supreme Court. A separate effort is underway to get a Constitutional Amendment on the 2024 ballot to set up a citizen-led redistricting commission to draw future maps.
