Wisconsin has 8 congressional districts. Republicans hold a 5-3 edge. One of those three Democratic seats is District 3 held by Ron Kind, who is retiring. That district made a sharp turn to the right in 2020; Kind prevailed by just 3% after winning by nearly 20% two years earlier.

The State Supreme Court enacted a 'least changes' map submitted by Democratic Gov. Tony Evers. The new map, like the old one, includes four safe Republican and two safe Democratic districts.

District 3 maintains its GOP lean, which gives the party a good chance of flipping it this year given Kind's retirement. District 1, while a 6th likely seat for Republicans this year, was shifted to the left and could be competitive in future cycles.
