States that have voted for the same party in 9 consecutive presidential elections

Then Vice-President George Bush succeeded Ronald Reagan in the 1988 presidential election. Despite the Republicans holding the presidency, six states, including five across the Northern tier, sided with the Democrats that year and have done so ever since. These six states have 67 electoral votes today. Wisconsin was a 7th state on this list until it flipped Republican in 2016.
