This Omaha-area district has been decided by less than 5% in the last three election cycles. GOP chances of holding the district improved somewhat when former Rep. Brad Ashford was defeated in the Democratic primary by a more progressive candidate, Kara Eastman. That said, Eastman raised over $1.2 million in the third quarter, more than twice what the incumbent brought in.
