Governor
Gov. Dannel Malloy (D) cannot run due to term limits. Despite the left-lean of the state, Malloy's unpopularity has given Republicans some hope of winning this race.
U.S. House

Races to Watch: None
The 5th district may be where the GOP gets closest, as incumbent Elizabeth Esty is retiring. It is also a district Hillary Clinton only won by 4% while winning the state by over 14%. That said, Democrats have found a credible nominee here; she is favored to win along with Democratic incumbents running in the other four districts.
