Governor

Gov. Bill Walker, an independent, suspended his re-election campaign in late October. He remains on the ballot, however. Walker's departure improved the prospects for the Democratic nominee, former U.S. Senator Mark Begich, although the GOP nominee Mike Dunleavy is a slight favorite.
