Several high profile races highlight a busy Tuesday on the election calendar. The most important of these will determine the ideological lean of the Wisconsin Supreme Court for at least the next year. Two U.S. House vacancies in Florida will also be filled. One of these has become unexpectedly competitive.

Omaha Mayoral Primary
Omaha - Nebraska's largest city - is the 40th largest city in the United States, with a population of about 483,000*. Republican mayor Jean Stothert is seeking a 4th term in office.
Stothert has drawn four challengers in what is officially a nonpartisan election. The most prominent of those is State Sen. Mike McDonnell, who switched to the GOP about a year ago.
The top two finishers will meet in the May 13 general election. Polls close at 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
* Population is for the city itself, not the metropolitan area.
