Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington said Monday that he will not seek a 4th term in 2024. Inslee, 72, served eight terms in the U.S. House before winning his current office in 2012.
Today I announced I will not be running for a fourth term. We've made Washington a beacon for progress, and now it's time to pass the torch. https://t.co/qTGs6hth00

Including Inslee, six of 11 governors up in 2024 will be leaving office. However, the other five are all two-term governors in states where they are ineligible to run due to term limit laws. Washington is one of just 13 states with no gubernatorial term limits.
