Texas GOP Rep. Kevin Brady Not Running in 2022

Texas Republican Rep. Kevin Brady said Wednesday that this term, his 13th in Congress, will be his last

Brady represents the 8th district in Texas, which extends northward from the northern Houston suburbs. Although the district boundaries have changed somewhat through the years, he has been reelected with at least 70% of the vote since 2008. In 2020, he earned 72.5% of the vote.

This brings to 8 the number of House retirements announced thus far this cycle.
