Republican Sen. Kristi Noem is seeking a 2nd term. She is being challenged by Democrat Jamie Smith, the Minority Leader of the State House of Representatives. An early October poll showed Noem with just a four-point lead, although a more recent survey from Emerson College put her up by 19 points.
