Incumbent Republican Sen. Rob Portman is retiring. Author J.D. Vance (R) and Rep. Tim Ryan (D, OH-13) are vying to succeed him. Polling has shown a surprisingly competitive race, while forecasters have been more skeptical given the state's Republican lean.
Republican Gov. Mike DeWine is expected to win a second term.
