U.S. Senate

GOP Sen. Rand Paul is seeking a third term. He is expected to be renominated. Former State Rep. Charles Booker is the likely Democratic nominee. Booker was a candidate for the party nomination in the state's 2020 U.S. Senate race, narrowly losing to Amy McGrath. The general election is currently seen as 'Safe Republican'.

U.S. House

These primaries will be conducted using redistricted congressional boundaries, although there was little change from the map in place over the past decade. John Yarmuth, The lone Democrat in the state's delegation, is retiring. State Senate Minority Leader Morgan McGarvey and State Rep. Attica Scott are seeking the nomination to succeed Yarmuth in this safely Democratic district.

State Senate

Republicans hold a large 30-8 edge over Democrats in the Kentucky State Senate. Members serve four-year staggered terms; the evenly-numbered districts are up for election this year.

Republicans hold 75 of 100 seats in the Kentucky House of Representatives. Members serve two-year terms.
