U.S. Senate

Consensus Forecast
Safe Republican

Republican Sen. Jerry Moran is expected to be reelected for a third term.

Governor

Consensus Forecast
Tilt Democratic

Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly is seeking a 2nd term. In 2018, Kelly took advantage of a controversial GOP nominee, then Secretary of State Kris Kobach, to win the governorship by 5% in this deep red state.

Attorney General Derek Schmidt is the Republican nominee. Most forecasters see this hotly contested race as a toss-up.

U.S. House

Consensus Forecast
1-2,4
Safe R
3
Leans D

These elections will take place using redistricted boundaries. The only competitive seat here, District 3, is also the only one held by a Democrat. Sharice David's path to a third term was made a bit more difficult in redistricting, although most forecasters now see her a slight favorite to hold the seat.

State House

CNalysis Forecast
Safe Republican

Republicans hold an 86-38 supermajority over Democrats in the Kansas House of Representatives. There is one vacancy. Members serve two-year terms.

The next elections for the Kansas State Senate are in 2024.
