Republican Marco Rubio is seeking a third term. He is being challenged by Democratic Rep. Val Demings (FL-10). Polling has been quite consistent showing Rubio with a lead of about 6-8%.

Despite - or perhaps because of - making few friends in the press, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is well-positioned to win a second term over Democratic former governor Charlie Crist.  After the election, attention will quickly shift to whether DeSantis will run for president in 2024
