Governor

Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Graham is seeking a second term. She is unopposed for renomination. Five Republicans are on the GOP ballot

U.S. House

These primaries will be conducted using redistricted boundaries. Democrats controlled the process, and all three districts - two currently held by Democrats - were made somewhat less partisan. The goal was to improve the likelihood of flipping District 2 back from the GOP.  The risk is that if the election goes poorly for Democrats in November, District 3 could come into play. That district's primaries are uncontested.

Below the result for NM-02 Democratic primary are party-specific tables for each of the state's three congressional districts. Use the associated drop-down list to change the active district in the table.

District 2 (Democratic): Redistricting made this district a toss-up, putting incumbent Republican Yvette Herrell at risk. Two are competing to challenge her; Gabe Vasquez appears to be the frontrunner.

State House

Democrats hold a 44-24 margin over Republicans in the New Mexico House of Representatives. There is one independent and one vacancy. Members serve two-year terms.

Note that the next State Senate elections are in 2024.
