  • Pledged delegates are earned on the statewide vote as well as the vote in individual congressional districts.
  • In each case, allocation is proportional to candidates receiving 15% or more support.
  • Automatic delegates are unpledged.
Notes:
  • By agreement with the DNC, a party-run primary was held April 27 to allocate delegates. As such, the delegate penalty discussed below was rescinded.
  • Original January 23 primary date set by Secretary of State to maintain 'first in the nation' primary status was required by state law.
  • However, it violated 2024 Democratic calendar rules. The penalty was a loss of delegates.
  • The state primary for offices other than president is September 10.
